The welcoming atmosphere felt like a home away from home! ! The complimentary coffee, tea, and fruit tray available all day added a lovely touch to the stay. The stunning view from the lounge area was breathtaking and made for a relaxing retreat. Plus, the kindness the owners showed during a family emergency truly highlighted their exceptional hospitality.

The only downside was the somewhat limited breakfast hours.

Delightful host greeted us warmly upon arrival. The room was impressively clean with a comfy bed that provided a great night's sleep. Breakfast included fresh fruit, homemade bread, and a selection of cheeses, setting a delicious tone for the day. an unfortunate downside was the lack of soundproofing. noise from other guests was quite disruptive, particularly at night. the walk back from town felt longer than anticipated, especially uphill, making it a bit strenuous after a long day. A small window blind in our room would have added privacy and comfort during the evening.

The mattress was fabulous, making for a comfortable night's sleep. The view from the lounge area offered stunning sea views that really added to the experience.

The pillows were very flat, which detracted from the overall comfort. Be prepared for a steep walk back from the bars and restaurants, which can be quite strenuous after a long day, especially if you have mobility issues. Our room was right by the car park, leading to some awkward moments with guests walking past our window, making privacy a concern. there was limited availability for charging devices and CPAP machines, which could be a hassle for those who need it.

during my stay, I really appreciated the breathtaking views over Castletownbere, making every morning special, while the proximity to the beautiful Golden Coast and the inviting local eateries made my city walks truly enjoyable and memorable.

We had ourselves a lovely time with stunning views over Bere Island! The room was spacious and comfy, but the breakfast could do with a bit more variety. a decent spot if you’re after a place to crash after a day out.
